An older image, but worth posting I guess.
This is an older rock and cloud technique I've since abandoned. The planets are TG2 planets with image maps "mapped" to them from what I remember.
The astronauts were post worked in from an image I found on flickr since I didn't have any astronaut models. I waited to post it as I wanted to get the owner's permission (even though the astronauts are only about 5% of the image). He still hasn't responded and I can't even remember who it was. So I decided to go ahead and post it, as I am proud of how I was able to post work them in nearly seamlessly, despite different lighting and contrast conditions in the original.
If it pisses someone off, I'll remove the image! ::)
Anyway, hopefully this will spark some ideas for you all...since I use your posts to spark my ideas!
Those astronauts are really very well worked in there!!!
Great scene overall, I like the rock formations a lot.
Gee, Moodflow. Really imaginative. You're blowing me away lately.
Well done! :)
Why have you abandoned these cloud and rock techniques? Have you found better ways to do things? Looks good to me anyway ;)
spacemen add scale...very well done...5*

Outstanding. Great scene, can't think of anything to crit at all :D
Great image... those rocks are top notch! 8)
A very well constructed scene. Looks great.
Great!
Is that Ganymede in the sky?
Love the drama in this composition. And I like your imaginative use of T2.
