Nothing really to say about this one. Just a quick one I came up with yesterday during some free time. I did do something other than just an ocean this time and came up with some actual land displacement that I think came out quite well considering I made it in about 2 minutes ;D. Beyond that though it's nothing new.

great work again. Patchy clouds aren't to my taste but still look very good.
looks great... especially full view!... commented at DA
Oh wow, this is EXCELLENT!!!
And beyond the visual excellence, I admire the technical aspects of it, too. The cloud distribution as absolutely believable, color, lighting, everything fits. Congratulations!
I'd like to have that as a desktop wallpaper, but would need a different format, like 1680x1050 or similar.

Thanks for the comments. Observations noted.

I'll see what I can do.
I'd like seeing this without the clouds or would it be very revealing? It looks cool...from here. ;D

Personally, I think it looks pretty good without the clouds. I rendered a small image earlier at the ground level (about 15m above the great) and it seemed to hold up VERY well. Thus I am about to start an animation that goes from space down to the surface that, in early renders, seems to be quite promising.
Very nice :).
nvseal, if you can, please post your final animations of this. This sounds very interesting.
yeah !!!
i love your planets renders ! i wish to see this animation soon !!!
I will definitely post the finished animation (maybe OB would be willing to host it?). Here is a frame that has already been rendered (no clouds just displacement and surfacing). The final animation will be 1400 frames long which at these setting means it probably won't be done for about a week :P -- though I have high hopes that the end will justify the time :).
Fantastic! Can't wait to see the animation.
Me too. Can't wait.
Thanks for sharing your work.
