Nice one.
To me it looks as if this lot of green was a temporary thing, like after a short rain in the desert.
Otherwise the stones wouldn´t stand out like that.
Best regards,
Jan

Very nice and tranquil scene :). The displacement on the rocks seems a bit too spiky to me, but other than that it's very realistic as well.

you should work on  the rocks ;)
and perhaps add some little displacement to the bark.
the grass is cool ^^

ps : is the ground still grey ?

I'll try to fine tune ;) the rocks and bark and post it later.
The ground is the same in "Dead Nature", early posted here.

I agree with Seth about the rocks.  They need less spinelinesses.   ;D  I've done this prickly thing with Fake Stones more times than I can count, but you're on the road to a nice image.

why the same ground ? i mean if this is living nature, the ground must be different than the dead nature render one...
at least the colour ;)

GEEZZZZ, take it easy!!! :D
I didn't change the ground 'cause I thought it wouldn't be necessary when it's covered by the grass...
But I'll do it in the next try.  ;)

When you say it is the opposite then it must be the opposite ;) Just kidding of course :)
By the way, the opposite of gray....is gray?

I like where this is going. The others already made good recommendations. Less spiky displacements on the rocks and some bumps on the bark. You might also think of decreasing the size of the grasses a little.

It is looking good so far but I definitely think there is a scale issue between the grass and the tree.

It's not a 'Tree' at all, it's most like a big bush, like those we have in the Bioma known as Caatinga.
I'm testing now the grass variation and the rocks diplacement.

Wow.  Darn.  I expected more than I should, I guess.  Is this possible in TG2?

You are sooo right...
Don't know if it's the case here but I think D.O.F. (depth of field) would take us to the next level. ;D
