Title: mountains and lake and things
Post by: mr-miley on January 28, 2009, 07:18:33 AM
Hi all

This sort of came about by accident. I know that the snowline is a little regular, but I may do some more to this. It started off trying to do overcast lighting without the ground being in virtual darkness. There is a lot more to do to this (if I can be bothered  ::) )

C&C always welcome

It looks wonderful in the present state.

What kind of post-processing have you made to this image despite the frame?

PorcupineFloyd, I only did a bit of contrast and intensity tweaking, and I mean just a little bit, and I also adjusted the tone curve slightly too, in Corel Photopaint. The sun blooms in the overcast clouds too much so I am going to have to cut that down a bit.

This could use a little color somewhere to offset the general flat tone.

I'm asking because I'm simply amazed in desaturated feel this image has.

I like it as it is :)

Well I was trying for a "overcast but bright" type of feel. We get it a lot here in Wales (lots of rain too  :( ) and it does seem to dim down the colours compared to a nice sunny day  ;D Very glad you like it.

Calico.. I know what you mean but... see above  ;D I may try a more sunny, colourfull version of this too, see how it turns out.
