Title: Contest..Sort of...
Post by: rcallicotte on February 23, 2009, 03:31:48 PM
This contest sounds cool - http://events.game-artist.net/scene_from_a_movie/index.php?utm_source=gameartist&utm_medium=900px&utm_term=hero_image&utm_content=street_scene&utm_campaign=ga_event

But,then I noticed in the rules - No Procedurals.  No TG2, in other words.  Blimey.

Well it's real time only. TG is a renderer so it wouldn't fit that category.

Well, then.  You could use TG2 to create the backgrounds...like a movie...

Yes, I suppose you could use terragen to create pieces of a scene for engines that use grayscale heightfields for terrain and skyboxes.
