flooded... with light.
A little doodling that turned out nicely, I think. Apart from the bushes geometry which sucks on close-up. Hence I applied a DOF mask, but it cannot mask the coarse geometry entirely.
That aside, I liked the lighting and thought I may as well show it here.

Frank
Nice work. Lighting's very crisp, although the tree seems a bit weird. Maybe it's because their's a very dense clump of leaves surrounded by pretty sparse ones on the outer branches.
This is nice. Good work.
Cool lighting. It almost looks hyperrealistic to me, with the halo effect around the tree.
V2.... I have tried some other vegetation, which I like better.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Frank
Looks nice Frank. Wonder what it would look like with one of your winter atmos?
oh yeah, you're right, I have forgot about that. Maybe I'll try that too.
The second is much better, but you should add some displacements on the leaves, something like this:
That is much better, this image has a great mood.
Is it me or could the clouds use less blur?

;D
looking great...I wonder what V3 will bring?!
I don't know about V3, but here's V2.5 ;-)
I couldn't resist trying my winter sunset atmosphere like buzzz suggested on the scene.
A little smaller than the last render.
And it doesn't look like winter of course, primarily because the vegetation is in full bloom. Maybe Australian December :-)
Cheers,
Frank
It's a beaut, Clark...oh, I mean Frank. ;D
That's a nice idea klas, I'll try that in one of my next renders. Thank you!
Frank

The new tree is definitely an improvement, and your sunset looks nice too, though I liked the v2 atmo better.

Looks pretty good Frank! Think I would have razed the sun a little bit more to light the top of the plants, but then it might screw up your atmo, dunno?
yes, the atmosphere is optimized for sunsets - no surprise when it's from the sunset atmosphere pack ;-)
Optimizing atmospheres for specific use cases in TG2 terms often means compromising for other use cases. This one is optimized for the sun disc below the horizon.
But it sure was a nice idea from you to have me apply the Sunset Atmo Pack to this scene.

Frank
