Title: Morning at the Peak
Post by: NWsenior07 on March 06, 2009, 08:43:15 PM
It has been a very long time since I've been here and longer since I've done any real rendering. I finally got back to it and did a rather simple scene just to get the hang of things again.

Looking good so far. I can see climbers racing for tht shear slope!
The clouds could use some work. I'd go for 3d, perhaps with some high 2d cirrus.

Nice render.  Great clouds.  I like the trees as well.

The mountain has a long sharp line in it.  Does this look average for a mountain or more 3D-ish?

I agree about the clouds, I think they may need a little tweaking yet. I'll see about maybe tweaking some of the displacements to get that sharp line smoothed out, I think it does look a little strange. And I was actually trying to model it after Long's Peak in Colorado so...
