Soft breeze washes away the big clouds in the sky. It has stopped rain some hours ago, and a warm sun is shining over the hills.
How can I describe this extraordinary versatile realistic wonderful GI engine? Thank you, Planetside!
Though it is still a sort of WIP. I'm not fully satisfied. And someone will surely see some GI errors (I had to crop the image during rendering). But I plan to fix all the things soon!
Most of the work has been done to make realistic (I hope :D) ground cover.
The whole vegetation has been made with Arbaro and procedurally textured within TG2.
Temple obj downloaded from Ashundar made by Mandrake.
C&C welcome! They are always constructive ;)
Hope you like it!
I think the temple looks too smooth and clean for an old broken structure. But that could be mainly in the object itself, though some mild displacement might work.
Other than that, great scene, love the gravel.

Great work indeed! :) I agree about the temple, in the darker areas it looks a bit sterile, due to the object itself. Other than that very convincing work! :D
Oh hey wow, great lighting! I really like the flowering trees too. The closest one seems to have a bit too many exposed dark limbs, but otherwise they're beautiful. But otherwise a remarkably complete and appealing scene. I like the little touch of the path in the background on the right...

Really great lighting, subtle yet evocative. I do agree about the temple object, it would work as is in the distance but in this location needs to be very much more detailed.

I agree with Mohawk. If the pillars looked old and less plastic, this would be very good. Try using a displacement map on them. Nvidia has a plug-in for Photoshop to do just that - create useful bump maps. Then use a .05 displacement or thereabouts.
Is this better? Just a simple displacement as you suggested ;)
Yes, definitely better. Perhaps even a bit more if possible, but surely an improvement already!
Much better, makes the focus of the scene more alive and interesting. I think you've nailed it as far as surfacing is concerned. Unless you actually want to re-model it .... :) Lighting is as before, only crit left is "maybe" just maybe the blossom is a little too bright or over saturated. Tone that back just a little.
Great work as tho :)

Much better! Looks good, I think.
Great job!
cool.. reminds me of a Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion wayshrine.
