Post by: buzzzzz1 on March 17, 2009, 11:24:16 PM
Transformation to Autumn from my last Image.  It has changed a little. LOL

Silly buzzzzz... thinking of Autumn when Spring is just arriving ;). Very nice image, though. The lighting and the pale color of the sky work really well together.

Those trees are perfect, as is the ground cover. Very realistic overall lighting, I'd say this one could be image of the week!

I agree it's a fantastic image. Did you build the barn model yourself? The one *tiny* thing that may detract from photo-realism is that the barn itself looks just a little more reflective, in a diffuse way, than one would expect of old, weathered wood. But it's definitely worthy of image of the week. The POV is also excellent, as is the low vegetation in the foreground. The scene draws you in, and almost looks like a cut-scene from some adventure or mystery game. What is waiting inside the barn?  ;)

This is so reminiscent of the forest preserve areas around the outskirts of Chicago. Very filled with realistic elements; this tops some of your earlier Vue work.

I really like this. Beutiful colors, but I think the shadows are a little to soft for such a bright sunny day.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your comments all!

@ Klas---Used your image maps, just adjusted the colors to 3 different shades of yellow/orange. Hope you don't mind?  No I didn't create the barn, I purchased it.

Also I received my new calibration hardware/software (Spyder 3 Pro) which works with XP 64 bit. Ran through the process and here's the image with a correctly calibrated monitor. Shadows aren't so dark on this end now. Not sure about your end? LOL

Thanks again

Much, much better after the calibration; and, the barn looks much better too. I like the way the glow of the leaves' color reflection comes off of the front of the barn.
