Title: I'm beginner and very young...
Post by: LittleTrekker on March 26, 2009, 05:56:21 AM

Hi all,

My name is Morgan. I'm a girl and 11 years old, living in France. Mom's will help me to write in english, as it's not so easy for me. My father installed me Terragen v.09 a few days ago and I find it great ! I first learned to make assembled pictures with my camera but I must admit I have more fun with Terragen.

Thank you to have a look at my first tests here :

This looks like a very good start. It would be good if you could post a slightly larger image (up to 512 KB) so we could see it in more detail. Then, the real experts on this forum could give you some tips. Allez!

EDIT: You should know that the link in your signature file does not seem to work. However, the link in your message does, and I took a look at some of the images on your website. I must say you have a very good eye, so once you have mastered the technical side of TG  I'm sure you will produce great images.

Hi Morgan,

thank you for posting your images here :-)
You are probably the youngest Terragen artist I have ever had the pleasure to meet - so welcome to you!

Salut,
Frank

I wrote too quicky and corrected my website link. Now it works. Next time (eastern holidays), I'll post larger images directly in forum. At the present time, it's possible to see my first steps on my website (not finished, it's just a beginning).

Salut Seth,

A very warm welcome to you!
It's always nice to see a new face, and then such a young one... You have made some great images!
Your lighting is very nice in all the renders, you'll be a Terragen star someday soon.

I'm sorry I don't speak (or write) any decent French, but I'm sure your parents will help you with our English.

I think it's also great that there are still some young people like you that use the computer for this kind of ting, in stead of all those violent games.

So again, welcome, and I hope we can soon learn from you as well.

Welcome aboard, Morgan.

I've seen a lot of Terragen pics done by adults in some other galleries that are not as good as yours. The one you've shown us here reminds me a lot of one I did 5 years ago (you must have just been starting school then) with Santa looking for his reindeer. I had to add Santa and the antlers of the reindeer to the picture afterwards (in Photoshop) because you can't insert objects in Terragen 0.9.

Thank you John, it's very kind to you. I have been practising Photoshop since about 3 years and learned many things alone and with my parents. I spend a lot of time creating drawings and flash movies. It's the condition to be allowed to stay in front of my computer and share with serious adults on forums. I'll be back in a fortnight.
Bye, bye
