2 years ago...it took a whole week :o to render with Terragen 0.9...do you think it would be able to render it again with TG2, since it generally take some hours to render just ONE image? ;D

It would take a very very long time, but that video was rather small in dimentions so im sure it could be done rather quickly.

the animations i've done in 0.9.43 took around 60hrs for 900-1500 frames and quite a small frame window.... i doubt i'll ever get to a terragen 2 animation looking at a month for a render lol
Took me 6 weeks to render this. ;D

Left click on the above link and then right click on the file and 'save as' as the option. There are three versions available.
1 Fairly Good quality - Largest file.[Xvid]
2 Medium quality - Medium file.[Xvid]
3 Small version - Small file.[Xvid]
The latter's quality is roughly half way between 1 & 2 but small for those on dial up connections.
I suggest, a bit of volumn on the sound to start with.
RedSquare how many frames is this animation
that is a fantastic animation!!!.... If only i had a render box i could set and forget just to do terragen:D:D:D...
Oooo'er, I'll have to look give me a mo'. Umm! I wiped it off of the HD, but I'm pretty sure it was about 8,250+/- frames/renders. Thanks for your kind remarks.
Ugh, you guys, that's nothing! I had a project that I started in January 06 and it took until September or October. Granted, it was at 480p, but still.... I'm waiting until I get a couple of quad-core machines (ie, probably never :P) before I try something like that again. If anyone wants to watch it, here are a couple of links:

:-* Where's a rude smiley when you want one. :-* Yes, but you were being edificated or chasing birds or undertaking other similar pastimes, if I remember rightly. ;D
running a animation for months like that sounds like too much effort surprised your pc didn't crash unless its a linux box..
nice animation BTW... never knew terrani could do stuff like that..

Well, yes, I did have to get me eddication in... ;).
King - I rendered all of my scenes separately, and each one took 1-2 weeks. Also, being on a Mac helped ;).
oh that sounds better....
is terragen 2 stable on mac os too?... tg2 seems to be killing my xp a slow death.. after like 30hrs rendering
TG2 is pretty stable on the Mac; almost all of the actual bugs exist in it, though. It does tend to bog down the system after lots of rendering, but OS X is a magician when it comes to memory management, so it's not too much of an issue.
if tg2 is rendering something xp seems to split half the memory between swap and ram... bogs down big time...
wow ..I admire your dedication....good stuff.
