Very cool, i can even see a few faces in the stonework
awesome displacements....care to share your technique(s)
I was mainly following this tutorial to help get a base down: http://en.tgblog.de/?p=26
Good job, neuspadrin.
Hey, nice. :)
Great to see that even this old and, regarding the technique, non-optimal tutorial is still read by people.
Maybe when i have more time i can write a better tutorial for canyons. ;)
Good work.

Gives me an idea for a kind of 3d Rorschach test competition. We can give our interpretations of what we see in the displacements and send the results off to an analyst. Er, no, that's a bad idea, (We might all be declared bonkers).

Might not be the best and maybe a little old, but hey it worked and taught me quite a bit.

Goms if you are aware of a better technique for creating canyons please do share. I used this tutorial when I created my canyons so if you know a better way i'm sure a lot of people would be interested. Thanks.
I like this canyon, nice materials/displacement work!
