Title: ~:Stellar Effect:~ (Daz3d import Test) (plus stock image)
Post by: Jack on April 27, 2009, 07:01:18 AM
Well this is my first test on importing Daz characters into terragen 2. this could not be done in earlier versions as of the 16 shader limit but now that's gone I decided to import one of my many daz figures and see how it rendered ;D

I used Liquid Knight On Sky 16 by Uzilite (thankyou man!!!)
http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/0/liquid-knight-on?item=2911&cat=&_m=d (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/0/liquid-knight-on?item=2911&cat=&_m=d)

and here is the results (very little texture mods only the visor screen which I added a reflective shader

Postwork: the post work was done in Photoshop

T4V ;D!

I don't really like doing this because I would rather show a finished product but here is the original terragen render now postwork just fresh out of photomatix :)

as you can see terragen 2 is totally capable of rendering daz and poser imports When we get the 64bit support terragen Is going to be one hell of a powerful program :)

You should do the same scene, but everything in TG2.  The lighting would make it awesome.

Whith early versions of tg2 you have to split the object in parts, then it works. Here my test with the Millenium Dragon: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=5287.0
;)

Your postwork is perfect!

Great work. It certainly would be cooler if you could say the whole thing was rendered in TG2.

I don't think you can assign GI to just one object.  But, you can manipulate GI a number of different ways - the renderer, the environment, the clouds, the atmosphere, the lighting...
