Post by: iu34 on May 01, 2009, 12:50:23 PM
here's my "third" image..started from a blank scene. I Finally got those clouds figured out! (kind of.) And I used DandelO's planetary grass shader .tgc.

Nice job on the clouds. Perhaps you should cut a bit of the foreground to reduce the amount of "darkness" in the picture.

Thanks all. I did notice the darkness...I don't know why I didn't try choosing a different POV. There's a new image I made. It's nothing like this though..I'm starting to work with objects.

I like the drama in the sky. Good work  :)

clouds are done well, congratulations for that!

Now you need to let us see some more of the ground. Have you figured out how to increase the exposure?
TG2 works like a camera. Currently, the exposure is optimzed for the sky, so you may have to increase the exposure to make the ground brighter. You can also increase the GI strength on the terrain, but cautiously, it's easy to go too far with it.

hmm....Actually, i've never really messed with the camera exposure too much. I didn't even know I could do that!
