Hi All, New to the Planetside forums and enjoying the opportunity of using Terragen again with version 2 being released. I am loking for a good and realtively painless to use and download resource of Real World Elevation data that I can pull into Terragen. Anyone know of such a place or is it all a myth... Thanks
If you check out open discussion we on time to time discover places.

Most DEM and converting it does come with a price though. But also come easier to use.
Thanks, eager to get going, I did not search the forums very well
The USGS seamless site linked above can output GeoTIFF, which TG2 can read directly (no 3rd party converters needed), and even georeference so it ends up at the right place on the planet (optional).

Just to add to that, if you have a specific lat/long coordinate in your GeoTIFF file, when you input those coordinates into the Lat/Long at Apex fields in your Planet Shader, they will align at the initial TG2 starting point.

There you can download dems covering areas which Usgs seamless doesnt cover.
Good luck!
