Title: Shallow waters (Ver.1 & 2)
Post by: Owen-G-P on May 02, 2009, 11:46:03 AM
Heres another two experiments, im still learning alot on how to use Terragen 2 and I thought I would create two high detailed images but at a low res to get a quick render. I like these two images and I thought I would leave out any clouds and atmosphere alteration.  :P

What would you like to hear? It's difficult to judge a picture if there isn't that much in it.  ;)

Fair enough lol, im not really asking about if its good quality or how well its rendered. Just thought I would share a beginners first experiments, its more about the scene not the detail and high resolution. Still its not that small, use a magnifying glass lol. :)

I can see well enough, thanks :D I meant what is missing is a focal point, something you want to show or tell us. If you work on a picture, compare it with a text you're writing: what do I want to show? What is at its centre? Try to think of your scene and see whether there is something...
I'll make an example. Let's say you work on a mountain scene. Think...what shall it look like? Will there be snow? Trees? Which perspective is the most expressive one? etc.

Well...I sound arty-farty but I thought this might help you.

I think both images are good practice images; Both the water and the rocks have come out well.

O lol I get you, I agree also :P. The images do lack a focal point, although there was no intentional meaning etc, just some experimenting.

Also thanks Renegade26. :)
