Title: Mountains in the horizion
Post by: soup4you2 on May 05, 2009, 08:48:28 AM
I've been trying to figure this out with not much luck..  hopefully the documentation will be ready someday soon.  Basically i have a landscape of a flat prairie land.  However once rendered it looks pretty boring and i was trying to add some mountains in the distant background.  But for the life of me i cannot figure this out without making the entire terrain a set of mountains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create another heightfield generate, make your mountains, and put generate off in the distance that would be behind and visible.

If you don't want to fiddle around with getting a heightfield in the right place you can also just create another fractal terrain and restrict by distance.  See attached file for an example of how to set it up.
