Having been to central Australia, my suggestion would be, make the sand in the foreground (and the rocks in the background) redder - it really is startlingly red!

Also, I think there is a slight scale issue with the plants - that is, unless you want the hills to seem really low?

Setup was very well done.  The texturing is well done, too.  I like your shrub placement.
