playing around with the new pack from Tangled-Universe and my own Big Fat Atmo pack, I did this little render.
it took only 20 minutes to put things together and it was mainly a test to see how a different atmo can change T-U texturing.
I thought it might worth a little post :)
very cool!
Sweet - might have to pick it up :)
oh, so you did this image ;D
I appears in TU's product page, and I have assumed he did it himself. Really nice, the front formation is a real eye catcher. THe "dust" is a little too greenish somehow, though. Great apart from that.
Cheers;
Frank
hehehe ;D
I just took his light and atmo off and put my big fat atmo.
then i change the surface colours, and tweaked a little bit the canyon to fit my taste (more vertical walls), looked for the pov and add a the sand cloud...
and then i hit render button... not bad hu ?!
Martin was astonished about how the atmo change the surface and how it fits without tweaking around :p
that's a 20 minutes (maximum) work !!!
greenish ?
it might be your screen Frank, because on mine, it sure is a bit too dark but not greenish at all... (and as i am a Samsung colours lover, I love the way my screen renders colours...)

I have to second that, I view the picture on a Sony Trinitron using sRGB and it looks weird somehow - maybe I'll have to switch to Samsung :P
Yep, it's green here to Franck. Samsung is a very good monitor, however they also need calibrating on occasion. My monitor gets calibrated every couple of weeks because Spyder3 reminds me.
okidoki ^^
I'll have to redo my calibration then !
damn i don't see green on mine... boooohoooo :'(
you calibrate every couples of weeks ? mmmhh.... didn't know I have to do that so often ! thanks for the info.
sorry Frank, my mistake ^^
no problem. just rename the image title to something like "Giant green stink bomb explodes in beautiful canyon" ;D

Don't be so cruel, you might hurt his feelings. Then he comes around with his arsenal of huge green stink bombs ;D

;D ;D ;D
Darkwing Duck: I am the terror that flaps in the night. I am... obviously out of my trademark blue smoke. ;D
considering i didn't render any gallows... that is a bit out of place ;)
Bravo!
Now mustard gas should clear the area for any of those desert critters like snakes, spiders, scorpions, centipedes and others. Not a bad idea Seth. I've got to get me this pack soon!
Yeah, cool!

Fantastic render. No doubt people not familiar with TG2 or CGI would take it as a photo.
Only thing I wonder: The sand-cloud could be more coloured like the sand on the ground imo. Looks a little green and toxic (well yeah, mustard gas it is... o0 *g*).
Love the realistic atmo though.
thanks all ^^
Wow. Cool, Seth. No comments. Just - COOL.
Oh I know - make an animation. ;D
don't have the animation stuff yet... :'(
as soon as i can afford it, i will...
Nice lighting and great rock structures and surfaces.
