This was an image I created a few weeks ago but my 32bit system would not render it as it kept running out of memory Last night i finally ran it through 64bit and it rendered with not a single problem ;D ;D!
took 8 hours to render
the models are all from daz which includes greeble and dystopia blocks as well as urban furure for the forground so a big thanks for the great models from daz!!
the render is 100% terragen 2 no postwork except for the lighting. the urban sky docks are greeble city blocks that have been turned u[side down and populated within a painted mask.
the lighting was again achieved in photomatix and photoshop ;)
enjoy!

Wow, great (and unique) render! I rather like your style, very different. I'm a fan of sci-fi renders and you're just about the only one around here doing them. ;D I'm not sure I'm totally into the strong color cast of some of your renders, but this is definitely cool stuff regardless.

good job !
very good job !
Yes, strong colour scheme, but actually I rather like that. It gives the whole thing the certain something.
I love your composition, btw! Brilliant!
Hi
Realy outstanding TG-Render!
ciao
Naoo
Really cool render 8)
Btw. it's good for testing purposes - as was mentioned before, the contrast is quite high. I have 2 screens in front of me right now, what a difference! ;D
Nice one! Could we please see the raw image from TG? Interested in the lighting mostly.
Nice! It's good to see that tg2 is expanding beyond just landscapes into other types of scenes.
Very cool. Nice work!
Damn this is cool! Just wow and respect for all the work on this!
I like the title, great subject name, explains fully where the eye should be troubled, ie a mass of that size levitating defying gravity. Great. Love it. Love the concept.
I like the models.
Love the distance haze.
I just don't understand the colouration, shadows or illumination.
Nice work. Something completely different.
thankyou for the replies guys im glad you like it ;D
(hmm, I thought I had replied to this already... strange.)
Hi Mr. Wetbanana,
very cool image. Everything in it is extremely impressive. The image does not seem to have much to do with Teragen 2, but that does not matter to me. Great to see you posting your images here, they are full of imaginative power.
I'm like Hetzen in the sense that I can't quite figure out the lighting, shadows etc.. which all seem like it can't quite be like that. But that doesn't put me back either, the part of me that likes the image as it it wins over the critic eye ;D
Cheers,
Frank
Amazing use of objects in TG2.
It's great to see the Sci-Fi scenes like this that look so different from the standard scenes. Shows the versatility of the software!
thanks guys glad you like it I will be doing more cityscapes soon!
