Hello :)
Just playing around with the new toy. There are so much to learn.
Hope you like this one.
The terrain was already made (bought it from daz3d.com)

Welcome John
Interesting terrain, and your choice of colors is very nice. You may want to add a little more fractal displacement detail to the steep mountain walls.
Cheers,
Frank
I like the softness you achieved with these mountains, they almost look like a loose fluffy bedcover made of chocolate ;)
you should try to create a terrain by yourself to understand how it works... buying a terrain and clicking render is not really useful (i think)

It is a beginning but like says it Seth no interest to buy grounds whereas you can generate of them thousands which will have a realism much more important than this one! If you want grounds I can give some to you as long as you want!

;D
I like the POV of this and the lighting, yet I believe you will have a better go of it by using World Machine or GeoControl or L3DT http://www.bundysoft.com/L3DT/ or even old Terragen .9 (and a list of others) to try and create your own terrain. Then, import your created terrain into TG2 for some fun. :o
Welcome john5D
Thinking back to when I first tried TG .9 and TG2 as to how excited I was to do something like this so I understand your enthusiasm. As you said: There is so much to learn, and that is the case for ALL of us. Have fun, it's a great journey.

So Franck, are you saying we shouldn't purchase files created by someone else? Not very good advertisement for NWDA ;)
Thank you for all comments and critiques.
Like I said I am very new and excited about this. I am still exploring what each button does.
I'll try exploring how to make new terrains too. :)
Oh and I did move the camera couple of inches before render. Does that count? ;D

no, I am saying that if he just starts TG2, it would be a good idea to play with it, understand a little bit of it, before buying a terrain and hit the render button ^^
I mean, I don't know who are the guys that buy our packs from NWDA, but I assume they already understand the basics of TG2... and i hope so, because otherwise i don't know what kind of understanding they can learn from them.
We do not sell packs to copy/paste stuffs... well i don't...
so I agree that the light is good, but the terrain lacks some details... i am not sure, but it looks like the terrain calico pointed some days ago...
and I agree, we ALL need to learn from TG2 !!!
Oh and as for the advertisement, i leave it to Frank, he is far more good at that that i ever will be :p
I, like always, need to shut my mouth ;)
