Title: grainy rendering
Post by: ccb on May 22, 2009, 08:45:03 PM
I'm just getting started with TG2 after using the old TG.  I've done a few test pages and all of them come out looking grainy.  I know it must be some setting that is off.  Here is the picture - http://www.cbrundage.net/testpage.jpg - (I know the terrain needs a lot of detail as it looks flat but it is that grainyness, esp. in the sky, that I can't understand.)  Many thanks for any comments.

Yeah. You should rise the atmosphere samples.
It will also rise the render time :)

A general rule to remember: if your picture will have lots of shadows/low light, rising atmospheric samples is usually a must.
