Title: obj files with lots of materials
Post by: Lex47 on May 27, 2009, 10:25:23 AM
Hello there,

I have an Rhino file converted to obj and then imported into Terragen2. As there are a lot of materials not all of them are imported with the object. No problem, I broke the Rhino file in bits and imported them one by one. I got a lovely object, just as it was in Rhino.
The only drawback is that I when I want to move it I have to do it one by one. I like to do it together.
The question is: can I join them so they behave like one object.

Thanks
Lex

Sounds like your using an older version of Terragen. The latest version supports unlimited materials. Try the "Check for Updates ..." link in the help menu. Oh and to answer your question, "can I join them so they behave like one object?" No you cant, at least not yet, there's no parenting "yet", its been requested but is not in the current feature list.

Thanks,

As you wrote it works under the new update.
It becomes now worthwhile buying.
