This is a cropped image of a WIP and I just cant figure out why the Atm and Clouds keep ending up like this(exploded)and there seems to be no distance in the background almost looks like reflections.Very frustrating any ideas on how I may remedy this ?
I've included the tgd
You were having way too much fun in the density fractal settings, thats how. Some of those values are VERY high. Small tweaks are the best if you don't know what something does. Also the warping, and noise useage etc.... A combination of all that gives you what you got.
general rule of thumb, if you don't know what it does, leaving it alone is almost always the solution, as a lot of modifiers are there that never need to be touched unless you are doing something very specific and need to. And when you do touch those kinda settings, you slowly move them around to get an idea.
Looks cool to me though. ;)

It looks like the sky is falling.
yeah, looks very interesting - you have discovered a funny new effect here.
I haven't looked at your tgd, but it's obvious from what I see that your densitiy fractal has a combination of to high contrast/roughness/Noise Variation values. I am not certain though if the roughness is too high here.
In most cases, leave densitiy and roughness *near* default. So if e,g, roughness is at 1.5, then 2.5 isn't *near* anymore, you will probably like to experiment with 1.4 instead in a first step. You can usually leave contrast at 1, and also usually won't increase the noise variation. You are more likely to have to reduce noise variation.
Cheers,
Frank
reminds me of the 'falling sky effect' in tg0.9xx....sweet!
Gives a feeling of rain, very nice. It looks like you have small shapes that are stretched very high. That in combination with atmospheric shadows (from the clouds) is something I have to remember!
Thanks for the comments everybody as I stated its a WIP At times I tend to do alot of Speed rendering ;D with different values and limits hence this is the case here,Im sure its not the smartest way to render but I figure as long as I save I can always come back to fine tune as needed. :D I plan on taking some time on this one and utilize here the suggestions given
Thanks for all your comments I'll keep you posted on the development ;D

Looks the same to me... fallout-day ;D
Yeah, should've presented it as an intended effect ;D It is quite curious how you got the clouds to cast shadows on the background sphere though.

Or, put some insane numbers in there and you will learn what it does ;D
