Title: Exporting terrains to bmp file?

I can't find an option to export a heightmap in bmp file, can someone help me please?

You could set the camera a the center of the landscape you want to export. Turn it so it faces towards the center of the planet (towards 0,0,0) and render the image. This would give you a satellite view.

You can export heightfields (but not procedurals) directly to Terragen's native TER format as well as OpenEXR (.EXR). EXR format can be loaded by Photoshop and some other image editors and converted to BMP or other image formats. TER format can be converted to TIFF using the free Terraconv utility, and then converted to BMP with any number of image editors. http://koti.mbnet.fi/pkl/tg/TerraConv.htm

Where is the option to export heightmaps to the TER format? I looked through the menus but couldn't find anything.

Right-click the Heightfield Generate node in the node network and choose Save File As.
