Played with this for a while to no avail. Found no good POV, so I went all random with the camera and settings hit render and went to work.
Came home to this with many errors, was able to save the top section. Tonemapped in Photomatrix and tweaked color and sharpness.
No plants, just for fun. Looks like an elephant staring at you! - Bill .

Awesome detail in the rock pillars :o
i would try to float a bit further on, then land at the endles plane behind those pillars ;D
Nice image with a lot of detail to discover. I'm actually wondering how you've done some of that.
Regards,
Frank
awesome !
i love the textures and the displacement ! you achieve great details
good atmo even if i think thinner clouds or lighter one could have some good effect on your sky
nice light on the ground
AHH! :o :o
i see a monster.
awesome render.
Dali!! nightmare rogue bull elephant!!!
LOL Inky!!
Fantastic random, out of control control of Terragen. I don't believe it was random for a second, Bill, you twisted man! ;)
Excellent!
I love these kinds of renders, very interesting. I want to explore that world.
Nice work. I love the colours.

Excellent!
Lighting was very intentional. 3 sources and used the background replacement default shader trick: I learned from YOU.
The terrain was much tweaking of several .ters probably leached from HERE.
The rest was luck, Guinness, and combustibles.

I like that, I'm in! Who's got some combustibles?
Awesome concept and mood - a scary place indeed - the atmo is champion :)
Really good! I wish they could do that back in DOOM - times ;D With some lava on the ground this surely could be Phobos or Hell 8)
Woah, amazing texturing work!
