Title: Storm
Post by: PorcupineFloyd on June 12, 2009, 08:02:21 AM
I was experimenting with sky and water and came up with a simple, yet pleasing picture in five colour variants.

Two variants are attached, and all of them are available here:
variant 01 (http://porcupinefloyd.deviantart.com/art/Storm-variant-01-125655992)
variant 02 (http://porcupinefloyd.deviantart.com/art/Storm-variant-02-125656082)
variant 03 (http://porcupinefloyd.deviantart.com/art/Storm-variant-03-125656211)
variant 04 (http://porcupinefloyd.deviantart.com/art/Storm-variant-04-125656337)
variant 05 (http://porcupinefloyd.deviantart.com/art/Storm-variant-05-125656541)

I've used three layers of clouds in this scene: one cumulus, one altocumulus and one cirrus.
This is also my first scene rendered in detail set as low as 0.6125

Variant 3 looks like scrambled eggs ;D
I like your efforts, interesting cloud shapes!

Heh heh I like your idea with scrambled eggs :D That would have to be a really "godly" joke :P

if you changed the color of the water to orange (orange juice), you would have a breakfast themed render.
;D ;D ;D ;D

Here is an old render I did. You have done much better with the sea/water shading. I like the clouds in mine better. It's a single cumulus cloud layer.

I hope this helps.
