Hi world!
I'm creating an ice landscape...how can I create a crack in the ice pack??
If I use the sculpting tool I only manage to create puddles.. :-X
Can you help me?

Try to use something like Worldmachine. There is a Voronoi function, that will give you cracks. ;)
Ehm...Thanks for the answer :D, but I'm working with terragen as I export the landscape in blender subsequently..
Is there another tool apart from the scuplting tool in terragen?? ??? I take too much to model what I want :-X :-\
I think Goms means... create your landscape in World-Machine, import into Tg and then do the whole Tg to Blender thing.
Of course,, I could be talkin complete and utter spherical organs of a reproductive nature !

Are you only using Terragen as a terrain builder? If that's the case, I would say that it is probably not the best tool for your needs. Terragen's built-in terrain editing tools are extremely limited compared to dedicated heightfield editors. I would suggest using World Machine, Wilbur, Geocontrol, or another landscape editing program instead, if that is your main purpose.

for red_planet : so you mean that there's the possibility to import a landscape of worldmachine in terragen without losses?? (textures included??) ::)
for Oshyan: I had been asked to use terragen so I hadn't considered other heightfield editors...In addition I've spent much time to understand how to import terragen in blender, this is why I've continued to use it. Now I'm finishing my work, but I'm curious to discover other 3D softwares compatibilities.. 8)
I was thinking that you create your landscape geometry in WorldMachine and then export the corresponding heightfield to Terragen, I believe there is an export to .ter. This ter fie would then be used as the basis for anything exported to Blender via the ter2blend utility.
At least that's the way I remember it....

Remember that TG2 doesn't easily export textures either, so if your ultimate goal is to create nice, textured terrain and import for rendering into Blender, then World Machine or a similar dedicated heightfield tool is probably better. If that's not what you're trying to do, perhaps you can explain more fully what your goal is.
