Working on atmospheres. Any suggestions on the atmosphere. I'm really not too concerned about the terrain on this one.
Nothing to complain about the atmosphere. I like the colours and the mood in it. Perhaps you could crop the lower third of the picture to get the attention even more on the sky. And perhaps you could try to bring out the glow on the mountain even more, would make it very interesting, I guess.
Maybe more cloud layers. Increase the coverage of the current layer. Next make a new layer below it. In the density shader under the density tab is coverage adjust. This, with cloud density on the cloud's main shader gives great control.
The lighting/color for each layer can be altered by using the lighting tab controls.
Many posts don't recommend more than three cloud layers. I would not use more than four.
Oh, a low level cloud can be used in the valleys for fog. That may look good.

I'll try adding a few more cloud layers but I think a fog layer would kill my computer if I wanted it to look decent.
I am using a five year old P4 HT 3 Mhz with 2 gigs. It still handles everything well, except the latest games. >:(

I'm using a 5 year old 2.4ghz with one gig, it doesn't handle anything except somehow it magically plays oblivion.

Totally agree. Adjusting the aspect ratio by this will make it a lot more interesting and will draw the viewers interest to the atmosphere. I like the atmosphere as is. Please do not try too many cloudlayers, otherwise you'll loose that tranquil feel of it.
To bring out the glow on the mountain you could try to set the camera and sun a couple of degrees to the right. Second you could add a reflective shader to the mountain to add some soft speculars. Think that could be cool :)

Martin has some very good suggestions. I like his better than mine.
Totally agree with Martin :)
