One I've been working on. I think I need to step back, take a little break and hope for some new inspiration.
Cheers
It's looking really good. What caught my eye right away was the stratus clouds. I have been working on making better clouds for about three or four months. I wish the function nodes were explained more thoroughly, with examples and images. I can use math, but it's not my favorite thing.
Some feral animals, or deer would look right in this one.
That's a well composed scene, with excellent clouds. A possible incongruity may exist between the reddish lighting on the ground and on the buildings, suggesting an evening light, and the mid afternoon tone of the sky.

Thanks, for one thing there's not much decay in the atmo settings and the redness is red brick on the buildings and reddish surface layers. Not sure what you are seeing on your end? This was rendered in one shot so I don't know what to tell you? Sorry you disapprove but this is finished.
lovely cirrus !!!
i like the different species melted in the background too ^^
my only critic will be for the background that looks less detailed and a bit odd (on the right part mostly)
good job (as usual) ;)
I love this, Jay! Whenever I see an image thread opened by you, I need to look at it immediately, and I am never disappointed :)
Here again - to me, everything in this image is just right. Excellent quality of everything!
What sort of inspiration are you looking for? Would you like to try something completely different next?
Best regards,
Frank

same here !
Great work. Brilliant as always. Are the clouds TG2? Very good lighting.
Fantastic image. I am jealous at your clouds, but the rest of the scene is just as good. Excellent use of vegetation, too. And the stone shader in the foreground - great look.
really nice detail throughout on this.
Nice rock distribution and size differences, but for me those clouds are just dang near perfect 8)

Sorry you disapprove.
Oh, deary me.
No need to apologise, Jay.
And I don't disapprove (it's a great render, ok).
I was just making an observation about the lighting as I perceived it, rightly or wrongly.
John
Wonderful, smooth yet detailed results. Great clouds too, though I reckon the nice cirrus layer is probably a photo background, eh? If not, very impressive! The tree upper-right has fantastic detail and realism. Great stuff.

me too; and the beginning was the "hallowed places" that I've used as a wallpaper with your permission
Really nice done, you deserve a thump up :)
Buzzzzz a lot of your images contain very highly detailed well textures objects, like these buildings. Do you creates these yourself or download/purchase them from somewhere?
Would love to know because I might like to use some myself.
Awesome work Jay, love it! Great details, variety of models and the cloudscape is very good as well.
I hope you find your inspiration back again soon and I'm looking forward to see your next work.
Excellent work. Maybe a bit contrasty on the water tower, looks a bit 'in game', but I'd guess that would be down to the model textures.
Your grass distribution and stones are very natural looking, and the variety of models really helps. The tree branches on the top right are the CG tell in this one for me, other wise pretty much photo realistic.
Stunning lighting as always! I love the colours and cloudscape here - super use of objects :D
very, very nice!
Hi Jay,
This is a great image. It makes me think of Australia, because of the red earth I guess.
Regards,
Jo
:o :o :o :o
Just stunning. :o The redness is what I like about it, great work.
Simon.

Like the man says where do you get your objects; do you make them yourself?
I very much like the composition on this one but that water tower really caught my eye.
