Hi Bob, try to blend the strata with a greyscale powerfractal, to make the strata appear/disappear in some places - just in case you feel like working on it again :)

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank. I'll experiment with your suggestion. This is something I haven't tried yet.

Pretty ground, good work on surfaces and clouds. I find this vegetation little adapted to this place (question of personal taste!)

nice place you found Bob!...some subtle strata blending would enhance this, I love the small cirrus? type clouds, I have been trying to achieve this look , but to no avail....any tips you can give me would be much appreciated!
cheers
Jason

Hi Jason,

I bought FrankB's cloud pack some time ago and have used the Cirrus file which is included in it. It took several seeds to achieve what you see in the image.

I agree about the image; I'm really not happy with it - looks too flat. And, yes, the strata can use some work as you and Frank pointed out. Those trees must go.

Bob

Nice... I agree about the fading strata with a PF and as far as the image being a bit flat.... would a bit of haze sort this out? also adjust the lighting to give a little contrast to the background part.

A tighter camera may help. Try 30 degrees instead of 60. This used to work in VistaPro.
