Title: Restricting populations to Image Map Shader Masks
Post by: jlenker on July 07, 2009, 07:00:41 PM
Right now I'm able to successfully use an image map shader to mask a surface layer. The sufrace layer's color is restricted to the mask. Now I want to restrict a tree population to that same area, but I can't figure out how to connect the population node to the image shader mask in order to achieve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Give your image map shader a name that you easily recognize. Then in your population settings there's a blank area and a blend by shader 'tick'. Through there you can find the image map shader. Hope this helps.
