Title: Windows free/low cost CAD apps?
Post by: jo on July 07, 2009, 10:48:30 PM
Hi,

I need to do some 2D CAD with something that can open DWG files. There are some free/shareware/low cost alternatives on the Mac, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with similar apps on Windows and can give me some recommendations. I won't be doing enough drawing to justify getting LT or something.

I used to do a lot of CAD stuff, but my legit copy of MicroStation which I used to use only runs on Mac OS 9 and is ancient and the hooky version of AutoCAD someone gave me once has expired.

Regards,

Jo

You might try download.com. They have thousands of apps which are well organized by function. I don't use this type of program, so I can't help more than this.
