Hi gang,
For the tornado I used old_blaggard's tornado tgd he posted quite some time ago here.
You can find it here:
http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4202.0 (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4202.0)
Rendered this image in 30 hours(!) at detail 0.85, AA 10 (b-spline), GI 1/3/8.
Atmosphere-samples were 128 and still some grain here and there :)
Cloudsamples were all set to match a quality setting of 1.5.
Postwork on .EXR output

It's pretty convincing. A little too clean. The tornado's I've actually seen have more debris, but that may have been from where I was; too close!
Too dark (Black) at the bottom of the image ...
the tornado by itself is nice...
Heheh, it's good to see that someone liked my tutorial :). I think you did a great job with color choice for the tornado and the clouds, and I like the general shape of the clouds as well, although some of the details look a little too much like the product of the warping parameter. I agree, though, that having a little more brightness and detail to the bottom bit of the scene would be nice.
I like the brushed look of the clouds.
