Title: Playing with Clouds + Atmospheres
Post by: zionner on July 23, 2009, 08:26:50 PM
Hey Guys,

I noticed there are quite a few new guys here, so I suppose alot of you guys wont remember me, but I've had a good few months break from Terragen, and I'm not ready to jump back in!

Now, basicly what I've done here - Is I have been setting up for a new render/idea I had, and me being me, I like to start with the atmosphere first! Which is where I came up with this. I felt this may be a nice "re-entry" render, and I really hope you guys like it!

Details:

Detail: .86
AA: 3
GI: 2/2
Supersample pass: On
Atmosphere Samples: 112

Time to render: 13 Hours 2 Minutes.

I really like the alto cloud layer. The darker clouds seem thin, but it is a good effect. The light transfer through the darker clouds is good, so making them denser would probably cancel it.

Looking forward to see more!

I like the low clouds, but the cirrus seem very stretched on the upper left part of the image, aside from that Great image!

Looks good, although inclined to agree re the cirrus stretching.
