Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anywhere it has been in the forums, even with a search. I was under the impression that Terragen 2 could read .ter files from Terragen .9. When ever I try to load a .ter file that I made in Terragen .9 all I get is an error that says: " Parse error at line 1; syntax error" and two warnings that says "there is no active camera ". Is there something that I don't know about or is my info wrong and anything done in the old terragen (created terains) can't be used in Terragen 2? When I go to file and click open it only list *.tgd and *xml as file types or if you drop down on lever to All files (*.*) Click on any file created in Terragen .9 and what I described above is what you get. What's the secret if there is one?

Hi,
TG2 can only read TG v0.9 terrain files ( .ter ). To load one in TG2 do this:
- Click the terrain button at the top of the main window to go to the Terrain project view.
- Click the "Add terrain" button.
- Select "Heightfield (load file)" from the menu which pops up.
- Choose your .ter file in the file dialog which opens.
That's it.

Jo
