Hi,
we're happy to announce our new website and preset store at http://www.nwdanet.com
NWDAnet is going to be our one and only, and primary website going forward. It's based on a real content management system and a professional shop solution that supports the sales and distribution of digital products.
Our customer will now get a proper purchase order confirmation and download codes for their products, with which they can go to our site and "redeem" these codes at the download area.
I didn't plan to launch the site so early, but I was kind of forced into it because the old site is locked by the hoster, as I was exceeding traffic limits, but I didn't want to unlock it through buying a more expensive hosting pack for another year in advance. (the old site is still live but I cannot make any changes and the product downloads don't work anymore).
Well... it seems the prime time for the new site has come ;-)
So the site is not entirely complete, as there's still some content to be migrated from the old site. The shop and the galleries, and most of the tech articles do however work.
There's also some fine tuning as for the appearance of things that I will apply over the coming weeks, and some modules are not live yet, such as the contact module and a few other things.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy our new site and the new user experience, and I am grateful for anything you point me to that is not working as expected.
For anyone wanting to purchase the tech packs: don't try to buy through the old site anymore, only buy through http://www.nwdanet.com
Cheers,
Frank
that's cool, even if it wasn't supposed to be opened yet ! ;)
Looks nice Frank. So, are you going to put the First Contest Gallery and Results back up?
thanks Jay!
Absolutely, I will put the contest gallery back up :-)
Bookmarked and quickly browsed the site. It is well put together. The old one looked more like a fan site. This one has professional polish.
Glad to see this has come to pass! Joomla is a good CMS, it should serve you well. :)

OK, Got it bookmarked and the old site deleted, now to go explore the new one ;)
Very excellent design, congrats! I went through the same thing a few years ago with a cheapie host, and had to rescue my site after patching it with bandaid hosting upgrades for awhile.
Which payment methods does the new site accept?
paypal only - but that allows you to pay also through a credit card, or even your regular giro home banking as well.
Regards,
Frank
Hi Frank,
Been trying to register at the new site because it didn't seem to remember me from the old one. In the registration process, after I entered all required info and check agree. I get a "Invalid Token" page. I did this twice and double checked all my info. Still can't seem to register so I guess I can't purchase or comment. But I can look at all the pretty pictures. :)
Jay
that's weird. Just tried it myself and it worked just fine.
I also checked the user database, and you don't seem to have an account yet. The former nwda site didn't have a user registration at all.
I can also create an account for you. Just send me your desired user name by email.
Regards,
Frank

Thanks for the prompt reply Frank. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with "Firefox" ?
So all you need is User Name and Email? You'll assign me a password I presume?
Well I just tried again using IE and I'm now registered. Hopefully I can log in using Firefox? I'll let you know.
Thanks again Frank
Frank,
Just tried to login using Firefox and no go. Perhaps someone else would be so kind to try with Firefox to confirm ?
interesting. I am using just firefox and had no problems with that.
Could you try clear your cache and cookies (at least for nwdanet.com)?
Good to hear though that yo managed to get in "somehow", at least ....
I'm keen to identify the problem you had, so clearing cache and cookies would be a good first step.
One last question: is your "private browsing" feature active in Firefox? This prevents storing cookies.
Thanks,
Frank

Just cleared cookies and I am set to receive cookies and third party cookies so that's not it. Just thought! I'm using the 64bit version of firefox and I don't have problems logging into any other site. That's OK I will just use IE when going to your site.
Damn! LOL ;D Got a new one in IE, tried to go to the contest gallery after logging in and got this error below.
Notice in the error message where it reads: category/32 . does that mean 32bit?
damn! Jay, I am sorry, I'm clueless.
I have no other idea. The 32 just means and internal category number, so nothing to do with 64 or 32 bit of any kind.
I also use firefox 64 bit at home, no troubles there. Jay, can you open other pages on nwdanet.com ok?
I need to ask: does anyone else have a similar issue? Also, does anyone have a clue on how to troubleshoot buzzzz1 issue?
Thanks,
Frank
looks perhaps javascript related. I know if you do certain very bad things with javascript this can happen.
no very bad things on my side. this is a standard joomla + virtuemart installation like you find on trillions of other sites.
Just tried to log in with Firefox again and got the bad token thing. Don't worry about it Frank unless others have the same problem. I'll figure it out at some point and let you know if I narrow it down.
Jay, this is just a desperate guess, but I noticed from your screenshot that the slideshow in the header is not showing, which is almost certainly due to a not up to date firefox flash plugin (unless you disabled flash). I'm wondering if the error message is related to that?
Frank
Haven't gotten that error since Frank and Flash is working fine. Just can't log in using Firefox 64bit . That's OK I'm just one person, as long as others can get in there's no sense bothering about it. Don't want people thinking I'm whining just thought you should know there might be a problem.
cheers
appreciate that, Jay, thank you. Still, it bugs me that it happened :)
As mentioned in my IM Frank.
I like the slideshow on the home page. It was a little choppy, but that may be because I am rendering on one Logical processor with the priority turned up. The other processor is doing everything else.
NWDA is featured in my new Plugs 'N Pixels ezine (http://www.plugsandpixels.com/ezine.html) (issue #15).
Many thanks, Mike :)
Interesting magazine, as always!
Also, you new site is looking great. Let me also say thank you for the nice NWDA page there: http://www.plugsandpixels.com/newworldtgpacks.html
It's always great to see Terragen featured elsewhere :)
Cheers,
Frank
Thanks Frank! And thanks also for your service to the Terragen community! Your packs are just what end users need to get the most out of TG2.
I agree with Mike. Your advice is always 'spot on'.
