2 or 3 weeks ago i posted "help please!!" in the Terragen 2 Discussion section http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=7029.0 (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=7029.0) and got a lot of response an many hints .... Thanks to all.
Meanwhile i did some new renders. In the attached image is my "most photo realistic image" so far. For me it looks quiet good but I'm still missing something - but i can't explain what. I don't mean any Objects or things like this ..... it is more the "realism" if you know what I mean :) The shaders i used in this image are partly the "embossed snow" clip file from Luc with some modification.
In this thread above, NJENEB said "... It will be cool to compare various interpretations of this theme. .....".
Well .... I want to suggest to do something like this:
In the attachment you'll find my image an the TGD-File. Take this file and do your own render!
Change everything you like:
- Shaders
- Water
- Atmosphere
- Lighting
But - PLEASE - do not change the Terrain itself or the Point of View !!!
So we will get the same image in different looks. If you like, you can add objects but I would prefer to use Terragen pure.
Size as you like. The attached file took ~3 h in 800x600 (free version) on a 2Core 3GHz 2GB RAM (Detail: 0.8 )
Ah .... no postwork in PS or other software of course ;) Attach the render "as is" in this thread
The intention is to get most realistic image .... but ... without winner or looser.

I'll give this a whack and see what I can do with it. It's not bad now. The sad part is, because you want it to be pure T2, I can't use the 250 zombie clowns I downloaded from Renderosity. :'(
Just kidding about the zombie clowns. :)
