Hi!
I would like to load OBJ-files rendered in DAZ Studio 3 in T2 (free version). But the result isn't the way I want.
These are the steps I made:
DAZ Studio
- load a testfile (Victoria i.e.)
- rendered in DAZ
- exported as a Wavefront format (once with with a material-file (mtl-Format) and the other time with separate material image files (jpg-format)
In T2
- load the obj-file with the obj-reader
- in the object node (surface shader tab) I placed a multi shader
- in the multi shader I placed 9 image map shaders and loaded the images
The result in T2 after the render is:
- the object itself is placed well
- some parts of the object have a "surface" (skin, clothing)
- some parts (legs, hands) are black
- the head is white
???
Looks funny but not really what I want :-\
? How can I use the material list file in T2 ? Is it possible?
? If I use a multi shader with the serveral image shader is there a specific order to load the images?
I tried several orders but in no case all "material" appears
Thanks for help!
You should populate each individual shader node of V4 for the proper textures to work correctly. I have only used this method and if there is another easier or better method I would certainly entertain it as it can be a pain sometimes. The free version is limited to how many objects and I believe how many textures it can have, but I don't know that amount. If Vicky4 has to many textures than that may be the reason they are not all showing up, but please ask to find if this is true and how many. The image is V4 with 16 textures, plus grass and tree textures in TG2Deep.
There is a link for PoseRay somewhere, I'm getting ready for work... Anyway, this program will correct the object for Wavefront's obj type. It also imports the textures correctly. This should give the ability to use nearly any object.
Thanks for your hints!
I tried it with PoseRay but got the same results as the test with the original DAZ export .....
But I think it was my own mistake :-\ I made it more complicate than it should be ..... >:(
I 've made a new test with a new model and saw that object node in T2 created a "Parts shader" (never seen this before). The parts shader itself has no settings or "entries" ... and .... what a surprise (!!!) ... the object appears with all surfaces.
I think, that my main problem with T2 ...... I often made it more complicate than it should be ..... ;D
