I am at it this past few days and i cant seem to get it bigger?

If i want to add one more clip do i need to create another surface layer to connect it to its child layer? Sorry for my bad english..
Thnx!
These are looking very nice.
Look up the file sharing area for "FrankB's advanced cracks". I have shared a clip there that could help you. In this clip file, I have done the opposite of what you wanted to do, by using a color adjust shader to narrow the cracks. I reckon you could also widen the cracks by increasing the black point instead of the white point.
Regards,
Frank
Try this link, it's long. It also covers much of the information I did not know I needed or wanted. Great thread!

Use a "colour adjust" shader, and increase the black level.
..and clamp the black
you are so helpful...
Thnx!
Hi Frank..
I downloaded yoour advance cracks...Can you teach me the Basic mouse scroll options you did?
I like the way you configure your Mouse navigation controls...
When i hit alt...I instantly grasp more ground than the default mouse navigation setting...
ThnX!
Question:
1) How do i apply two color in my terrain and blend this two color together?
Do i need a shader?
2) In the altitude constraints and slope constraints.. If i dont check the "limit maximum altitude" does putting/altering
the value still works?
3) When i put "surface layer 02" below that of "surface layer 01" does color of surface layer 01 overlaps color of surface layer 02?
Or Surface layer 02 is out?---How to blend to colors?
4) What's Input node, colour function, luminousity function, displacement function, break up shader, child layer and blending shader?
If i put "Surface layer 02" and connect it to any of this nodes to "Surface layer 01" what will happend?
I think for the moment it would be best to go through a couple of tutorials/resources first before asking dozens of basic questions.
I don't blame you for it, but 90% of the answers can be found in the links below or using the search function in this forum:
http://www.planetside.co.uk/docs/tg2/noderef/
http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?board=2.0 (especially "user guide" and "user contributed tutorials"
http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=9 (about the powerfractal, practically the most important shader to understand)
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Martin
I was there..I read 10 pages or so and my head hurts.. T_T
That's what TG is all about; read and experiment until your head nearly drops off, then you might be able to render something great.
This looks pretty good, R3igN. I like what you started out with.
TU and Dune are right. Over time, you'll find some creative spark as you learn the basics of TG2. Hope you have a decent adventure.
Ok2
Hope that terragen Post more tutorials...
I hope they would post Node network setting in the whats and hows...
Looking forward to it!
Thnx!

The file sharing section has loads of stuff to offer, enough to keep you busy for weeks :)
Like Dune said: reading reading and reading and while reading experiment ;)
