It's so hot over here where I live, I'm having day dreams of a cool place to picnic - in the woods.
Looks very inviting. I almost expect a path with a little girl in a red hood skipping down it. It does seem a little regular, like the tree farms we have around here.
Looks like a wonderul place to be right now!
i like where this is going.... :)
the trees look good, i like their tallness and the shape of their trunks, but the geometry the trunks themselves looks kind of weird.
I was just going to say the same thing.
very different looking trees than usual TG2 renders :)
The trees are cool.. 8) ::)
Where did they come from?
The trees are Walli's pine and xfrog USA West library ... western larch, if I remember correctly. Man, I suck in botanics ;)
You also see 2 species from the NWDA Dry Bush Bundle Pack (also Walli, of course), and a couple of smaller plants: stinging nettle, greater celandine, garlic mustard and whatnot from the xfrog groundcover library.
I am also using Big Ben's pine needles to cover parts of the ground.
Cheers,
Frank
Thanks for the info. I still think the pines are too regular, but I really like the image.
Great image - nice mood but the ground is too flat
true, I forgot to generate the heightfield.... stupid of me.
This is one of the most realistic renders I have seen from you. The lighting is very good and the atmosphere nicely reduces the contrasts on the trees in the depth.
The soil and striking light on it looks great.

lol
That's different. I always generate the height field first, even if it's only 1 meter high. It helps me find more interesting locations.
