trying to make a convincing tornado[attachimg=#]
Hi jcinbama,
Very nice start, I think a distance shader to get a lighter color sky behind the tornado (google f5 tornado to see what I mean) will help make it more pronounced.
It's really looking good,
Glen
Good suggestion by Glen.
I like this work too so far. It looks like the tornado self is one separate cloudlayer, isn't it? It has a lighter color than the cloud behind it and then the clouds above it have the same brightness. This gives the impression that the tornado doesn't really originate from the cloudlayer above.
The tornado itself looks quite convincing!

Agreed, and also the cumulonimbus clouds need to be taller and less flattened along there bottoms. Usually the super-cells are quite turbulent with the smaller scale patterns. Something billowy.
nice image... need some work on the ground .?! this is a tornado don't forgot
Wow, this is very nice! How did you get this "twisted" effect?
thanks for input, the tornado is 3 planets with the surface render turn off

Very tricky of you! :)
So this is working with the meta-clouds idea? I love the lighting on the vegetation.
