Here are some more renders of the procedural planet setup. It is nearly ready for release, I just need to fix about two more bugs with the dislacement blending near the ground level. I also added one with some clouds. :)

Please don't mind me as I pick my jaw up off the floor :D
yeah, i saw them on DA ! good improvements nvseal ! you're working a lot on it !
Cool stuff.
Coming along nicely, impressive work :)
Looking forward to the final release. :)
Richard
amazing how you can zoom in to so much detail, and got it looking good on a global scale, too! :)
Holy cow, the surfacing has improved a ton since the last version! Great work. It still looks a bit overly rough from orbit to my eye (a very turbulent planet perhaps, hehe), but overall this is great. Can't wait to play with this. :)

I double Oshyan ... and that turbulent places will be the most interesting for me ,-)

Planet-tastic... :o
Nice. I can't see straight, due to my shakes from waiting on this. But, it looks nice. ;D
Did you say this might come with some clouds? Or are we waiting on the cloud pack separately?
Thanks for the comments. I very much agree that the planet looks a bit too turbulent from space. This is a problem I am working on, though I think most of this will be dealt with when proper surfacing is applied. The clouds pack will indeed be released separately.
Here are two more renders. As you can see, I still have a few blending issues to track down and fix before I can release.

OOooo you tease.
@nvseal - I don't see any issues. And it looks real enough for me. Now. Today. Sometime soon. Please. ;D
[edit - But, "only when it's ready"]
In Procedural Image 14 i see those tiny odd lines. Are those what you are talking about?

That's it.
It's admirable, though I now see those lines, that you would care about such small things. This is a consideration of all of the amazing learning that has gone into making this and how many years ago I have seen many try and never even come close to this.
Bravo, nvseal.
Wow, the more I see, the better it looks (aside those lines which are unfortunate, but not a major distraction considering your other achievements). There even appears to be "erosion", which is very cool. These images would be great as stand-alones - the fact that they're also part of a whole planet with large-scale variation and global texturing is all the more impressive. Go Nvseal!

Amazing work! :o
