I have an exploding stone issue and it happened as soon as i added a power fractal shader to the color of the stones.
uncheck the "blend as stone density" will be my first try.
then i never use a smaller value in lead-in scale than in smallest scale, but maybe it doesn't cause problems.
ps : woah noise stretch 6 on x ? that's very strecth but again that might not be a problem.
The noise stretch is for the strata look. I will try your suggestions and see what the results are.
Have look on the displacement tab of the power fractal ... are displacements enabled? Else ... everything looks fine for me :(
Unchecking "blend as stone density" is what got rid of the exploding stones. Thank you guys for the assistance.
