Let me tell a little about myself so you can understand why I am writing you.
I'm Dennis Ivanov, a student from Russia studying Information Technologies, interested in PC / IT - hardware and software (opensource; linux); also in the electronics and Electric Cars.
In 2009 I'm starting an electric vehicles project. We will have a workshop and Internet shop here, in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. So everyone could order a kit to convert gasoline car to electric; ask for our help to do this or provide some instructions, or even buy a ready-to-go electric car (both variants - converted in our workshop from gasoline car or factory-assebled EV).
Currently I'm developing our website. Our company headlines and ideas are: ecology, economy, enthusiasm, nature, green, light, bright, excellence, elite, etc. Website currently is in russian only, I can provide link if you want, but english version should be probably ready in a month or so.
So now to my question.
We've got dynamic header (image changes each reload of page, but probably later we will replace this with auto-switching headers, like on your site). Size of header is 1000x240. Here is my exact question:
1) Can you help us in giving some Terragened (or maybe other soft) 'green nature' images (as described above) with the resolution same or larger than 1000x240. We can give you back: a) copyright with link to your website on special page or b) clickable banner to your website on the page "friends of our site". If we use b) variant it would also be great that you put our banner somewhere in your "friends" or at any other page.
1.5) If you can't give images, but know someone who can or who would be interested in working for green electric vehicles company, contact of this person would be appreciated to (or you can just resend this post to him/her by email or somehow).
2) "Searching for serious help of any kind". If you are seriously interested in ecology, we could try to work together (read as I'm searching for designers, illustrators, or just for the persons who can help and is interested in electric vehicles). So then we will discuss your work in our team, and, in future, we'll become a fast-developing business structure, so you could get a nice "green" work, which will be appreciated by community of any country.
Please answer to this post if you're able to help us with 1) Images, 1.5) Contacts or 2) Serious long-term work. Additional contacts, website address, etc I can send you if you're interested in.

Why would you need TG renders for your banner? Why not photographs? Plenty around I'd say. Besides that, it sounds like a great project!

We are currently usint photos. We've got lot of them, but I want more. Terragen gives you more landscapes than you can get from Earth, Mars, Moon or any terrain. And creative minds (yes, I'm speaking about you!) got much-much pretty images that we're searching for. So it would be nice to get an ability to publish their cool work on our site. There are also less chance to give visitors image that they'd seen somewhere before (if we use publically available photos from deviantart, sxc.hu, etc., somebody someday will notice this).
And it's just a cool way to make express your own creativity.

Why don't you ask if you can use some of the pre-existing artwoks. I'm sure some here will be obliging.
It takes an huge amount of time and effort to create a convincing TG scene and I suspect you'll have trouble convincing people to create custom scenes for you for free.
However you may have more luck approaching individual artists and asking "may I use a cropped (and credited) version of your image for my web site?".
As long as you put a small link on the image or a ©symbol with a link to the authors site it could be a fair exchange :)
