If only Terragen 2 did cirrus like these.

Realy beautiful !! I'm sure Terreagen could do a similar image. Stretched PF (maybe a few of them) and some warp shaders is where I'd start :)

I agree with Richard here.  No reason TG can't do this sort of thing with ease.  Here's a five minute screwing around result.

The cloud at the bottom looks like a demented contrail of a jet out of control  :)

Actually I was thinking the last cloud would make nice whorls after water goes around a bridge abutment or a rock.
