I remember this one. I was using Sculpt/Animate 3D at this time. It did not do image mapping, just 5 types of surfaces. I saw the wood texture. 'How'd they do that?'
Anyway, Real 3D came out about 1 year later. It was a long anim for its day.

I have some old videotapes full of stuff from the late eighties/early nineties...still love it!

I used to love Robert Able's stuff. It looked so cool. I really loved his racing T-rex's.

Yea this is basicly the same techniques they used fot making Tron.
