Title: Imagemap and shoreline effect
Post by: hayk_yer on September 11, 2009, 04:32:05 PM
Hello Community,

I have two questions that I am struggling with for a few hours and can't find answer.

I have mask that I am using as ocean. How can I create a shoreline effect where the mask border meets the shore?

Next question is creating a color for the mask. I am changing the colors of the Power fractal, but it doesn't seem to have an effect on the color of the mask - I still get dark blue color.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hayk

The Ocean mask is taking on the Ocean color. I would use the mask into the color input. I do not use masking, so I can't help much. I have seen someone use a painted shader to mask the shore's edge for surf. Ridged clouds with very small lead in and scale close to the water height look like foam, with the right settings.
