Great scene you got going here, I might lower both the camera and the sun and maybe add an icy layer to the lake :)
Oh and render it BIGGER ;)

Thank you, all.

I used the model which is distributed free by Xfrog.
Set the opacity of the leaves' texture to zero and apply color to the trunk and the branches.
I'll show the node-network.

Excellent sense of coldness. I'd work on trying to get better POVs and lighting.
