I think the cap departs too much from the rest of the curving strata. It may look better as a different type of rock. The rest looks really good to me.

Were the GI settings pretty low? The lighting looks very blurry and without any realistic clues to where the light is bouncing from. I think it would really benefit from better GI settings.

GI were 2,2. I think the problem comes from two additional lightsources without shadows that I added to "enhance" two areas that were very dark in the original. One is at top right under the overhang and another far left lower half, to show up the strata under the bulge.
Neither have worked very well.

I like the original better. To me it looks more natural.
